Work Shop Manager 
Job Descriptions

  • Responsible for job allocation and job flow in the workshop including job scheduling and labour allocation for day to day operations. 
  • Co-ordinate resources, (operational and human) schedules and activities to effectively manage jobs. 
  • Ensure supplies are ordered for each job.
  • Act as a technical adviser on key projects and other areas of the work shop as requested.

  • Ability to work with people at various levels from shop floor to senior management.
  • Responsible for budgets for the purchase of materials, fixings and fastenings and machine tools to ensure the smooth progression of projects
  • CD Responsible for the quality of the work carried out and performs incoming and outgoing inspection on all parts and assemblies or delegates that work.
  • Set a regular workshop cleaning schedule highlighting employees specific duties; Make suggestions to management for improvements to the Mechanical Service Department’s operations.
  • Prepare, supervise and control workshop activities, including the scheduling of work. 
  • Check and inspect that all tools are available and maintained in the correct place and that all equipment is in suitable working condition.
  • Ensure safe at all the time (priority) 
  • Follow all vehicle regulation and laws.
  • Develop and monitor vehicles, plants and equipment utilization and disposal strategy.
  • Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency. 
  • Create reports of driver’s effectiveness. 
  • Complying with driving regulations. 
  • Responsible for ensuring driver’s and operators works as per company procedures and guidelines. 
  • To ensure the above, the below activities breakdown will need to be met.
  • Ensuring the availability and reliability of all plant and equipment.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the superior and/or management in a professional and efficient manner.


  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering
  • Qualified Mechanical engineering and Sound knowledge of workshop procedures.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience.
  • Strong ethical standard.
  • Computer literate. ( word, Excel, Power point, Internet and Access)
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to give presentations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Swahili and English.

  • Flexibility to work beyond normal working hours and weekends Ability to multi task and prioritize effectively.

Job Descriptions

  • Record daily expenses and Reconciling daily expenses.
  • Petty cash management and Preparation, control of budget expenditure and revenues.
  • Retirements against receipt. 
  • Record daily sales and Issue daily receipt.
  • Assist in pay roll preparation.

  • Statutory payment and submission like NSSF, PAYEE, WCF, VAT, WITHHOLDING TAX etc.
  • Preparation and submission of cheque to the bank.
  • Bank Reconciliation.
  • Keeping records properly on all the respective items. 
  • Keeping updates records on the secured and non secured loan etc.
  • Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data.
  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.

  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  • Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintaining important financial reports.
  • Preparing tax returns and ensures that taxes are paid properly and on time.
  • Evaluating financial operations to recommend best practices identify issues and strategize solutions and help organizations to run efficiently.
  • Offering guidance on cost reduction revenue enhancement and profit maximization.
  • Act as advisor on administrative matters
  • Maintain accurate and up to date office file, records and logs for files
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor degree in Accounting
  • knowledge of accounting package maybe added advantage.(Tally and Quick book )
  • At least 2-3 years of experience.
  • Strong ethical standard.
  • Computer literate. ( word, Excel, Power point, Internet and Access)
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to give presentations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Swahili and English.
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize effectively.

  • Experience with financial report requirement
  • Attention to details, Confidentiality, Data entry management and Report skills.

  • Responsible for the day to day check on the stocks.
  • Responsible to verify all goods arrived as per the agreed purchase, delivery note and agreed quantity has been received. 
  • Maintain clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly. 
  • Follow all standards for issuing and receiving stock within the store’s area of operation.
  • Ensure that the stock is kept clean and organized.
  • Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper ilostock levels and maintain inventory control.

  • Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies; report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Technical knowledge of Store management. 
  • At least 2-3 years of experience.
  • Must be organized and punctual.
  • Prior experience in purchasing.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Must be a proper record keeper of all sales, restock the store accordingly
  • Computer literate. ( word, Excel, Power point, Internet and Access)
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to give presentations.
