Assistant Production Managers – 4 Posts (Unilever Vacancy)

The business context and the main purpose of the work
Ensuring that the factory produces tea with the desired quality at a low price in a safe way.

Main Accountabilities

  • Maintaining 100% efficiency and effectiveness of all related factory production through operational leadership and the use of appropriate technology to produce the right quality in the right quantity.
  • Directly responsible for the operation, maintenance, and efficiency of machinery, transport, buildings, and the environment.

Qualification:

  • Degree in engineering (mechanical or manufacturing) or degree in food science and technology.
  • Experience with food processing will be an added advantage
  • 2 – 3 years of experience, extensive knowledge of food processing – preferably tea processing.

  • WCM and continuous improvement of production
  • To provide leadership on the shop floor
  • Develop and provide factory responses e.g. synchronous production
  • Optimization of plant configuration and operating systems, reliability, downtime, and maintenance management
  • Active investment, care, and quality assurance
  • Influence and implementation of innovation
  • Responsible for maintenance and creating a better work environment

  • Organizational awareness / strategic influence
  • The mental power to determine the direction and direction of the market
